Building Our Tribe

“Heretics look at the status quo and say ‘this will not stand’.”

I was having a great conversation with a client last week and we were talking about how you find your “people” (…and I would say this applies both personally and professionally).

Whether you are a non-profit, entrepreneur or just “inspired”, sometimes finding the right fit is difficult. This TedTalk by Seth Godin I thought was really good and extremely insightful. Finding something that is worth changing and then assembling “your people/tribe” around it is exciting and satisfying!

Ultimately, when I think about why I ended up going into business for myself it was for just this reason: I decided rather than finding my tribe, I would build it.
