We're Hiring! Full-time Sr. Project & Operations Manager

rootid is currently seeking applicants for a full-time, remote, Senior Project Manager to join our small but mighty team. 

rootid was founded in 2011 and is a fully remote, US-based, brand, communications and marketing studio committed to being a part of co-designing and implementing community-centered, communications capacity-building within the nonprofit sector. 

Our processes are aligned with Liberatory Design, and our structures are grounded in our values of anti-racism, equitable access to opportunities and resources, partnership through listening and building trust, community-led breakthroughs, fearless curiosity, reimagination, health and healing.

We have recently completed a new strategic plan and vision and are looking for someone who is excited about joining us in co-designing a new operations plan, ie. being a part of imaging and designing a workplace that embodies what the above values really mean in practice. 

Job Responsibilities: 

This role will guide both the high level operational strategies as well as the day-to-day project management of our client projects, including the design and development of websites, brand strategy and print design projects. You will also lead project scoping and goal setting, coordinating team members and clients, communication of project needs and expectations, and negotiation of the project timeline and budget to keep them feeling collaborative and high quality.

What you will be doing: 

  • leading agency operations including co-developing internal and externally facing processes, managing project pipelines and internal resources.

  • leading digital projects and managing client expectations from project conception, through implementation and project delivery.

  • leading and contributing to internal conversations around process improvement.

You have experience with: 

  • digital strategy including best practices around web standards, web usability, content strategy, marketing platform integrations and web content management.

  • project management including managing timelines and delivering projects on time and on budget.

  • navigating project challenges and problem solving with clients while keeping a positive outlook on outcomes.

  • experience managing and deploying Content Management Systems (Drupal or WordPress a plus). Actual programming skills are not expected; you won’t be required to write code.

  • web testing and client training to ensure requirements are met and understood. 

  • excellent time management and organization skills.

  • ability to juggle multiple projects.

  • attention to detail.

  • proficiency using project management tools, such as Asana.

Pluses:

  • experience with office or small business management 

  • experience with collective decision-making

  • experience using Harvest for time-tracking and/or Forecasting

  • knowledge of design principles and web accessibility

  • competencies in Google Docs

  • prior experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems

  • coaching or facilitation experience

  • experience documenting and improving processes and resources.

Physical Demands

Due to the remote nature of this position, qualified candidates will be required to communicate via video conference. Specific vision abilities, such as color vision, are also needed. Accommodations will be made for those who require them to perform the essential functions outlined above.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time (35 hours/week), remote position. Applicants must be US-based and regularly available 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PST.

The final interview will be a paid test project that will allow you to get to know our project processes and get a sense of our company culture so we can both assess if we are a good fit for one another.
